Asphalt shingles have long been the most economical sloped roof covering to purchase. Countless colors, reliefs, and styles are offered. Today’s guarantees are also much more interesting and reassuring.

At Couvertures Montérégiennes, we favor the Timberline HDMD model from the GAF shingle company, the best-selling in North America and having proven itself in Quebec. These heavy-duty asphalt shingles are made with a strong fiberglass frame to provide excellent dimensional stability and increased wind resistance.
These heavy-duty shingles consist of a solid fiberglass frame to increase its dimensional stability. Mineral ceramic coated granules are embedded in the carefully refined waterproof asphalt. Complex mixtures of colored granules and subtle lines create shaded reliefs recalling the aesthetics of cedar shingles.

Note: GAF Timberline shingles installed as standard (5 nails per sheet), will withstand wind peaks of up to 175 km / h. Our standard installation is 6 nails per sheet for protection against winds up to 209km / h!

Limited Lifetime Warranty (GAF): 50 years at 100%, transferable 20 years.

GAF’s standard warranty (system plus) is still included in our estimates and includes labor costs associated with product failures, which is relatively new to the industry. Installation failures (unless otherwise specified in the contract) are in turn guaranteed by Couvertures Montérégiennes for a basic period of 10 years.
